So many different ways to handle everything we do. Here are Caricatures that I drew in my Time Off tonight ~ based on a photo of a girl that I had to draw Too Fast at a Party. I wanted to give it more attention ~ but of course a Party situation is not the same as Time Off for me. I feel like I keep my Party Skills fresh by doing stuff like this on my Time Off. Here I have both a Funny version And a Cute version.

the Same Artist with the Same Subject ~ Funny how the artwork can have a completely different flavor under different circumstances. Tonight I drew a different Caricature based on the photo in the previous post.
In tonight's Caricature, I wasn't concerned with pleasing anyone.
I was on my own, just applying what I was recently studying.
Just for fun. Developing a little more form.
But in the Gift Caricature that I originally drew with a whole Scene, I was giving my Client all the details she requested.

Always exciting when I start on a Gift Caricature, a Studio piece. Because I'm not just filling in the blanks. That wouldn't be Artwork. it's a process ~ I don't know what it will involve until I do it.
This time, still exciting, I finally didn't try to reinvent the horse. I just designed the best way to express what my Client wanted to express: A kind, beloved School Nurse who was Retiring. My Client told me to draw the kind, beloved School Nurse with a Stethoscope and a Fun Uniform and a Generic Child. And to include the Name of the School. And she requested a Horizontal format ~ something I don't usually do. It was a quite fine experience for all of us.
Oh ~ and on the side, my Client also mentioned that she always called the Children "Bumble" ~ hence my black/yellow shirt on the Child
