Here are a few of the Pictures I created at the Event for Montblanc's Little Prince Collection. Such a lovely day, such a fine establishment.

I was Drawing & Painting on Notecards and Books provided by Montblanc. The Notecards already had a Little Prince picture in the corner. Real nice ~ gave me a jumping-off point from which to create my pictures.

I felt appreciated.

I recently booked an Event for the Montblanc Store in which I was asked to Draw and Paint in the Style of The Little Prince.

I explained that I would only be painting My Own Pictures in the same Style that was used in the Little Prince.

So, getting ready to Draw and Paint in a Different Style with a Different Medium (Water Colors), I set about to 'Study'. I made a Caricature based on a Photo of a Lady that I Caricatured at a Recent Party. On my Regular Paper because my Client wants me to work on her "Stationary". I'm figuring that won't be real WaterColor Paper.

Turned out to be as Easy as I thought it would be.

I will really Enjoy this Event. I love to Paint. And I admired this beautiful book since I was in High School!

But I'm hoping I will still feel good after working in this Style for several Hours. I felt surprised to Experience "Nervous Lines" that are part of this Style. Not at all the Smooth Confident Lines of My Own Style.

Hired to draw CARICATURES ~ I felt excited when the Bride asked me to also sit in the back of the CEREMONY to draw the SCENE. Here's what I came up with.

I only had 1/2 hour to do it. And of course, the bride and groom weren't standing there the whole time and I had never yet seen the groom up close. So I just

went with it. Completely different approach than drawing the CARICATURES. Felt great! and the guests were ooohhhhing and aaaaahhhing as they walked passed it to greet the new couple after the Ceremony. Although I do wish I had a few hours and larger paper ~ This is aces!

Follow Up ~ I just found out that this is called "Live Event Drawing". Yes! That's for me! It's usually done throughout the Entire Party.

My Agent is sending me out to Paint the Whole Scene at a Party.

So I practiced a Scene when I was in Penn Station. Took a photo of the scene to show you, but I did not look at the Photo while I was drawing. I was working live, On the Spot. Just using old markers and small computer paper this time ~ to get comfortable with an ever-changing scene. Success! I loved it. I'm looking forward to the Event (where I would Not be tempted to focus on a garbage pail ~ lol ~ Parties are usually dazzling with their Party Decorations!)

Note: This picture is Unfinished. I only had about 20 minutes to work on it before I had to get to the Corporate Holiday Party.
