Children have always been beautiful. But now they're even in great shape. So many of them!
I recently drew Caricatures for an 8-year old's Party at a Gymnastics place. These happy children looked like they were as tight as my Personal Trainer. It wasn't like this when I was growing up.
Still, they were Children. They were happy, interested in everything, and I felt like I was seeing the same sorts of relationships that have always gone on with the Children. It's hard growing up.
We Adults try to do the best we can for our Children. Some people work with their physical education. I help with self-image and self-esteem. To help them accept that whatever they really look like is OK. That they are perfect just the way they are.
I have high hopes for our Future. Our Children will be strong And confident.

Even in just the few minutes that I'm drawing a Guest, I can sometimes see their Personalities as well as their Physical attributes ~ especially when dealing with children. They can be so 'raw', so 'unadulterated', so 'real'. Here are some of the pictures I drew at a recent Children's Party. This one was a Communion. I felt especially happy with my pictures because I felt like I could even see their Personalities in how they approached the Party Activity.
I particularly liked this group because the kids were real kids, and the adults seemed so direct and so appreciative. Honestly polite.

Nice and comfortable. This client had a Child's Party in her backyard. I was on a comfortable, closed in porch. There was a bouncy-house outside. My pictures were hung all together on a clothes-line until the guests were ready to leave:
Sometimes I really feel like I'm invited to join right in to a close group of friends and family.

Oh I like my job. I get to watch people, how they behave. It really comes out so clearly because I watch how different people as they walk through the same situation. They're all so cute, so interesting. Many are surprised to see the picture. some are really strict trying to be so good. Some are very self-conscious - either shy or controlling. Some are so so very happy - they let loose their party excitement.....
