I felt concerned about using my Agent's Predrawn Papers. Because our styles are so different. But it's easier for me to tone down than for the other Artist to let loose. So I should be able to do this.

The job was to draw the Party Caricatures on the papers that my Agent had drawn and printed up. She chose a horizontal format (very unusual for me) and drew the Birthday Boy on one side of the paper. I was to draw the guests on the other side. I felt like it was successful. The hostess and the guests were pleasantly enjoying it all. The hostess was particularly happy with her idea of hiring a Caricaturist. She told her guests several times that she was so happy with her idea because it was suitable for all the guests at the party. All ages.

Here are some pictures from that event. I did not draw the baby on the left of each paper. I only drew and Colored the rest of it.

This girl had so much fun at her Party. You can just see it in her Caricature. You can just see it in her dress. You could have just heard it if you heard her talking. At her party, she handled a 'Trivia' time herself. Sitting up straight in front of her friends, calling on people -- "Who knows my favorite movie?" "Yes" "Who knows my favorite song?" "Yes" Who knows my favorite tv show? "No" "No" "Okay, can you do it?" "No" Lol ~ they finally got it. And more important than what she says is her favorite anything, is how she handled her peers. These kids really impress me. They really shine at these parties. Makes me wonder about how I would have handled things back when I was their age.

I imagine I would have been different than this girl. Not quite as confident. Not as much 'in command'. But I would have been adorable just the same. I imagine I would have felt giddy and flushed. I imagine I would have burst out laughing with joy. It's all good. We're all different, but it's all good.

I feel so interested to see all the different people. So many people.

I felt tickled pink by my visual reaction to this boy. I felt like his hair was separated from his head, like it went up to the clouds. That's what makes it so much fun to be an Artist:

And I felt so pleased to draw this girl. My favorite type of picture is the 'short story'. That's what I call it. Just drawing what needs to be drawn to tell the story. Without a lot of extra stuff:

I feel so blessed that so many people stop in front of me. So I get the opportunity to really see them.

It always looks to me like my Party Guests are so together. Having fun together. Comfortable with each other.

Could it be that everyone else gets along so harmoniously with their husbands/wives/friends? Could it be that everyone else is appreciated and accepted by their husbands/wives/friends?

So it's interesting to me that I frequently get comments from those guests in which they say that they can tell that I (the Artist) am having such a good time. Because I do feel very happy in that activity of drawing in front of people. But it goes on top of all sorts of other feelings that I might be having inside. Since they wouldn't see all of me, perhaps I'm not really seeing all of them either. Maybe everyone has stuff to deal with?
