I've been wondering lately about What's a Party For? Obvious answers are things like to Honour someone that deserves your attention, or to Make Your Child the Important Person. Also, how about to Meet People and have a chance to affect them. Things like that. But I'm remembering like Why did I get excited about going to Parties when I was a very young child. It wasn't just the potato chips. I'm remembering how the word Party, getting ready for the Party, just the idea of going to the Party, was like a light-switch to Turn On Happiness.
and that's still why I work at Parties. Drawing Caricatures, interacting with my visions..... It's a Happy Place. A Happy Time. On top of all the meeting people, seeing how well the Guest of Honor is doing, feeling included in this group.... On top of all that is an umbrella of Happiness.

In order to get there on time, I had to Wake UUUUUuuup when I would usually be Going to sleep.

Digital Caricatures are all the rage. I've been called more and more for them this Year. Happy New Year!
Has a completely different energy at the Party.
When I'm drawing Caricatures on Paper, there's more laughter and hoo-hah. More wild.
But when I'm drawing Digital Caricatures on my IPad, it's more laid back. More relaxing for both the Guests as well as for the Artist.
It's good to know that when you're planning your Party. Like ~ what sort of experience to you want to create for your Guests ~ Wild and Loud? Then order Caricatures that are drawn directly onto Large Paper.
Relaxed and Modern? Then order Digital Caricatures ~ which are drawn on the IPad and then printed up right at the Party onto Super Glossy Paper.
Here are Samples of some of the Digital Caricatures that I created at this year's Thanksgiving Day Party. As usual, I spent Thanksgiving morning drawing at an Upscale Event that was overlooking the Macy Day Parade.
