Such a lovely event. Small Party in an upscale NYC apartment, and all I had to do was draw 8 people in one large Caricature. 22" x 28".
This is for me. We all Enjoyed. I can't think of any better way to spend my evening than Drawing like this.

Practicing for Tomorrow's Communion. I drew some real quick cacs with an old marker that I have beside my Computer. Based on some random photos that I found on the web ~ that looked like boys that might be at a Communion.
I feel more confident when I warm up like this before an event.

Still drawing every chance I get. This time I made a quick cac. My exercise was to turn a front view photo into a 3/4 view Caricature with my imagination.
But I didn't like it as linework on white paper. I wished I had drawn it on colored paper, but I'm just using any ol' supplies that I have around here since this is not a job. It's more like doodling.
So I put it into ArtStudio on my IPad. Then I was hooked. I could not remember how to make the white paper a color. The pencil tool would be too tedious, but when I used Paint Bucket, it came out all textured and incomplete.
Finally successful. If perhaps I kind of remember what I did, I'll try to write it here. I Selected most of the areas of white paper, 'fill'ed them in pink, then chose 'change color to transparency'. Voila ~ the pink became transparent. Then I was able to color one layer below my linework, so I still had my drawing. But since the Selecting wasn't perfect, I then used the pencil tool to color the small areas that hadn't become transparent.
And I Enjoyed a simple coloring to finish the quick cac. It had taken about 2 minutes to make the original line drawing on paper. But then I spent a whole day dreaming about how to get it into a useable form in ArtStudio.
Compelling. Whoah. I'll be flipping around this Digital stuff in no time
