I designed this Glitter Tattoo based on a Henna design. I like the way it looks. Even though it was tedious to paint.
I learned that painting with glue is not like painting with paint. Those beautiful teardrops and bamboo-leaf strokes that I learned for Face-Painting and Sumi-Painting ~ Not for Glitter Tattoos. Not for Henna. The beauty of these designs lies in the Pattern. Making Patterns.

Caricatures are not like looking into a mirror. Not like tracing a photograph and modeling the forms based on highlight/shadow the way we do for a Portrait. Not the same pretty face for everyone with different hair. A Real Caricature Artist will be making a statement on what she sees. And it has to be quick. First impression, no editing. Because we draw one person after the next. "How many faces can you draw per hour?" is frequently asked by my clients. (BTW, I recommend estimating ten faces per hour.)

Near the end of a recent party,
where I was drawing really well,
my camera just
froze up.
Aghk.
When I found out that my camera wasn't working,
the guest that I was drawing offered his phone for a photo -
and he emailed it right over to me.
Wow - so capable. And so fine.
