This is interesting. It's what it's about. How people feel in the moment.

Sometimes they arrive at Parties nervous, self-conscious. My first view of them might look something like This. I feel like they're covering up their naturally happy hopeful hearts:

I try to make them feel Welcome. They start to warm up. I show them what I drew, and then

WOW! You can see by their Reactions that this Party has just become Better. This is now a Great Party!

I feel so grateful to be able to see what my Caricatures actually Do. It's more than just a drawing. It's encouraging Joy .

Encouraging Joy. Even the word is interesting. The word Courage is in Encourage. It takes Courage to let yourself show. It takes Courage to let go and EnJoy. And of course, it takes Courage to be an Artist. A Party Artist.

Guests can't keep up their defenses when they see My Artwork

I just realized that I could have been posting the pictures of the people actually responding to my Caricatures in a separate section called Reactions. That shows what actually happens in the moment!

You can see lots of these Reactions all over this blog. Here I'll pull out just a few of them ~ a few in which the guests were quite animated. Photos that were quickly snapped as soon as they saw their completed Caricatures.

Bringing Out the Joy that People have inside them. I feel so happy to give them opportunity to tap into their Joy

Oh will I ever catch up with my 'housework'? Or shall I say 'officework'? I draw so many people. I have a good time with so many people. But it's just for a moment. And then, on to the next. Fun is my job. Fun is my middle name.

I want to post them right away. It feels great to see my Artwork after it's finished. But I don't always get time to post the photos of my Artwork. Because it's time to get ready for the next event. Or draw the next studio piece. Or or fold the laundry.

I feel so happy to be reminded that I bring good healthy Fun to people. Not a great photographer, so I feel so grateful when I manage to save the moment with some reaction-pictures:

And still......most of the time I only manage to photo the Caricature. I still love seeing what I saw back then:

These girls laughed so long that I had a chance to snap several photos. I had fun seeing my work through the eyes of others.

To me, it looked simply right. But they were sooo surprised. It was so much fun.
