It takes skill to plan just the right Party for each situation. And whatever else a Client might prepare for her Guests, I like to think that my part is to really see the Guests. To expose the real moment to the light.

People feel good when they feel understood. Gets it out so they can loosen up and Enjoy

Just my opinion ~ of course I can't really know what another person is feeling ~ but oh, in this case, I felt like my well-meaning Client might have gone Overboard. She had a huge Carnival at her house. By the time people sat for their Caricatures, I felt like they were feeling Overwhelmed. And that I was able to turn things around for them.

By the time their Caricatures were finished, they seemed more focused. Happy. I even managed to catch a few photos of their Reactions to my Pictures. The Caricatures ~ and then the organized Dancing ~ and the people really started having Fun.

That was at This particular Party. Sometimes Carnival stuff works very well. Planning a Party is an Art in itself. And I give people a lot of credit for getting just the right amount of Entertainment and Food at just the right Time for their People. There isn't one perfect way to design your Party, anymore than there's one perfect way to design your clothes. Many different things can work well. And I always try to be 'part of the Solution'. I try to fit in with what is going on. In this case, the people needed a quiet place with me ~ refuge from feeling bombarded with 'in your face' clowns. On the other hand, sometimes they need me to turn it into a Party ~ for when people show up and they might wonder "Are we having fun yet?" Luckily, Caricatures can handle either extreme. And everything in between.

Note: ALTHOUGH I DO BALLOONS and FACE PAINTING as well as CARICATURES, I WAS NOT THE ONE DOING THE BALLOONS and FACE PAINTING THIS TIME. I was only hired for the Caricatures. These Balloons and Face Painting were handled by the Carnival Entertainers instead of Artists.
