I was watching What's Eating Gilbert Grape. Pen just a-moving ummmm what to draw.
Yeeks. I couldn't believe how difficult it was to draw Johnny Depp at that age. No facial hair. I finally got something usable when I decided to focus clearly on using My New Caricature Style ~ just as though I was At A Party.
The only Caricature that was actually easy for me in this group ~ easy one-time pass ~ was to draw John C Reilly. And Mary Steenburgen wasn't too difficult either.
It would have been quite a hoo-hah if I also tried to draw Leonardo DiCaprio. Especially at That age. Especially with That role. Oh. Fun. What I thought was for Relaxing, turned deeep

I got a chance today to post a few of the Caricatures that I drew back then ~ at a combination Halloween/Birthday Party. I was really looking forward to seeing this batch all together. To see the different choices that I made to draw the same girl several times. Relying on my New Fun Style at this Party. We all had so much fun that the Birthday Girl kept coming back for more:

I had a bright idea!
I can draw Caricatures at Parties!
lol ~ this obviously isn't a new idea for me. I just liked what I drew today ~ about how I come up with great ideas while I'm drawing
in person, i like the first one best. with the fine thin lines.
but when i posted it online, the 2nd one looked better ~ it needed the high contrast online.
then i added color ~ to let clients know that yes, i DO USUALLY USE COLOR AT PARTIES AND EVENTS ~ unless my Client or a Guest requests black/white.
it's all good. i just love to play with the pictures
