New High School Graduates are so much fun to draw. I feel an open energy from them ~ excied with themselves and their plans ~ barely understanding what their futures might be.
And the relief that comes out of them when they see their funny Caricatures. Someone else who might understand how they're feeling. An aaaaaah moment for them. Peace

Party Life. So exciting. So much fun. I usually do that several times per week.
Mixing things up a bit. To do something different. I volunteered at LINPI. That's Long Island Native Plant Initiative. I did a little Gardening there. It was easy. And it felt satisfying to see the finished Flats that I made for them.
The Long Island Plant Initiative focuses on growing Only the plants that are native to Long Island. It's very interesting to see the differences between LINPI and my own Garden. Things like a completely different type of mint. Did you know that the types of mints that originated on Long Island have short thin leaves? So different than the invasive species of standard leaf-shaped leaves that grow all over the place.

Good job. Good Caricatures. And I also drew this same Caricature 2 more times when I got home from the Event. I like this style that naturally evolved with me, but I was trying to tap into the New Style that I had been developing. That would have been Simpler. More geometric. More cartoony.
I don't know if I'm trying to force it (my new style which you do Not see here), OR if it will just take time before it becomes 'me'
