Stayed home tonight. Drawing Carictures to my heart's content'. Didn't stop until I didn't feeeeeel like drawing anymore.
At first I was making up Faces. But I started thinking too much. So I looked up some Reference Photos online. I felt Successful with what I set out to do.
I wanted to draw 3/4 view Faces with only moderate Exaggerations. Because, lol, my friend and I had been laughing over some 'outside-the-box' exaggerations on a Gospel Song that we watched on an Ed Sullivan Rerun earlier this evening. The choir probably thought they were Artistically putting their own spin onto the Classical Song, but we were just hearing it as Wrong.

Of course I could have gone right into a good Caricature ~ with good Line Quality. Or a good Portrait ~ perfectly copying the Shading. I always do that when I'm working. But why would I do that now? This is my Study Time. My Slow Down Time. To check on what it is that I already know. To solidify it from different angles of my brain.
I did go into one of them for a Caricature. It was just too tempting. And I was positively affected by the Studies I had just done. So satisfying.
