This is one of the pictures that I posted at facebook several years ago, but I hadn't posted it to my website until now. Apparently I was into the same sort of simplifying back then that I've been developing now.
The first picture is an Exaggerated Caricature. The 2nd picture is when I simplified it even more.
I know what I want, and I get in and out of it along my journey. Respecting my path, my abilities and my comfort in doing it and my facility with seeing what to do got better and better over time. But I was interested in Simplified Cartoons with Nice Line Quality all along

Real Artwork is No Longer Real Artwork if we add attitudes that are Not there. I hope these Dark Attitudes would Not be at the Client's Wedding! Maybe I'm not understanding something here.
I did a good job in meeting the Client's request, but I still prefer the original pictures that I drew at previous events.

Still practicing the Dark Humor because of Client's Request. I used a reference photo of a man that I previously drew just fine at a Party.
In the first picture here, I wasn't successful in coming up with Dark Humor. He looks just so cute. So I tried it again.
In the 2nd picture here, I was successful in coming up with Dark Humor. I wonder if it will feel easier to get into that Zone at the Event where the Client requested Dark Humor. And if so, would I even Want to be there? Maybe I'm going to turn down this party afterall. But meanwhile, it sure is an interesting drawing experience alone in my studio.
Not only would I prefer Drawing the first picture, but I also don't understand what sort of benefit there would be for a person to have a picture on which Dark Humor is imposed. When the Client calls me back, I'm going to ask her about that.
