Every year, I draw the graduating class of a local High School. It keeps me in touch with the current trends.

Year after year, I felt like a was seeing a new group of the same people - if you know what I mean. This year, though, finally A Change! Styles and self-care were dramatically different than they had been. It was more like when I went to High School. In general, the girls' hair was flatter and messier. And the boys' hair was wilder and messier. More natural. Not quite looking like everybody sees the hair-stylist every morning.

I'm hired to draw in black/white. Line only. I'll post a few of them here today:

Here are some Caricatures that I drew at a High School Prom. What to think of a Prom? I go to so many now - from a different philosophical perspective than the guests. It's so interesting to have this in my Life.

Today's mature high school students are so interesting. This group, for instance, looked and acted older than the people that I drew at a recent Wedding!

Here's a Happy Caricature of the Communion-Mother and her four friends. They all wanted to be in a picture together. Okay, I say. Even though I was hired specifically to draw on small paper. The women in this picture had to be drawn smmmaaawwwlll. Butagoodtimewashadbyall:

Sometimes when I work at a Party - all smiles and Fun - That is where I want to be - I still get hit with Melancholy. Who was I when I was that age? Could I have done 'that' then? How did my personality affect who I became today? Could I even do 'that' yet?

I like who I became today. By writing about this, I realized that I wouldn't want to have a different personality today. So who I used to be, even if it was different than these beautiful people that I see at Parties, who I used to be grows up very nicely.

I was really impressed with some of the Confident Happy People that I drew here. And I really liked some of the Insecure People With Heart. I'm impressed with the Loving Things they do for each other. And it's even okay to see that they have some problems. Just like me:
