time to get serious. haha ~ serious about Caricatures ?? it's more like time to stop being so serious in my studies. Because I have to get in gear for the Weekend's Events.

So I Googled faces in one of the towns where I will be working, chose one at random, and drew this nice Caricature.

I felt like it needed more emphasis, so I went back into it with a wider Marker here.

then I said, oh fwibbles ~ because I cut off the bottom part of the teeth by thickening the top line of the upper lip ~ bad idea. So NOW I'M READY TO JUMP OUT OF THE BOX AND CARICATURE FOR REAL.

That resulted in this Exaggerated Caricature .

Looks like we're going to have Fun ~

Aghk ~ I hope I'm not going to be working in a bad neighborhood for one of this weekend's Parties. I thought the area was fine when I booked the Event, but I just Googled "(the name of the town) faces", and egads.

The first face that caught my eye ~ a man who didn't look too happy ~ but I felt fine about drawing that. Having Party rah-rah Happy Excitement can feel like I'm holding my breath if I don't peace-down sometimes. I liked what I was drawing, and then, oh, I noticed that his photo was posted to show him at a low point ~ for an infamous situation. Oh ~ I didn't feel right to exploit that. I didn't want to proliferate his humiliation.

So I scrolled down. and down. looking for a different face to post. But it went from one bad situation to another and another. How many nuances of crimes can they come up with??

I finally landed on an almost ridiculous photo of a college girl that had no negativity about her in the post. It was only saying that she had gone to the college. Back in 1960.

With this ridiculous hairstyle. I could imagine the curlers that she had worn to make this happen to her hair.

She looks better in my Caricature than she did in the photo

Lol ~ I've been drawing Caricatures at this Corporate Event which comes up again every year. So it's not unusual that a lot of people there remember me.

This time, they came over as soon as I walked in ~ Before I even set up. And most of them were asking for Group Caricatures. Early Morning Event. Yeow! Okay! We're On!

Woulda Coulda Shoulda ~ I just felt glad if I got a second to actually See the Girl's Face while I was drawing her Caricature at this Party. But I was drawing the Boy several times throughout the Celebration, and I felt like I should be doing more with his Horizontal Face. I just couldn't get a handle on it quickly enough during the Event ~ especially because I was trying to fit his Horizontal Face with other faces in his 2-person Caricatures. (I drew the Colored Caricature At the Event.)

So I revisited the Composition again. The Black/White Caricature that I drew here in my Studio ~ No need to Color it because I was just studying the composition of the Design. I like the first design I came up here. Yes!

And I have some other ideas too. Like this Totem Pole Design ~ decent, but I'm not sure about what's going on in the middle. Maybe I'll work on it again someday, but probably not. More likely that the question will come up again someday, and I'll have a eureka moment.
