I really enjoyed making this Caricature. Actually, just commissioned to
draw it as black/white line art (to be reproduced as part of their Wedding Invitations),
I made a copy, colored it, matted it, made extra copies onto differently colored papers
thinking about the invitations she would be designing on her own.....
I just liked working for this woman. The picture just flowed, the client was easy, trusting,
not rushing me.....So I really got into it.
Here's the extra one that I colored and matted,
along with the reference photos:
And the wedding dress, tiara, and hairstyle that the bride planned to wear on her special day:
But lol, just as I was finishing, when my desk looked like this, the client asked
if I could......Include the kitty! Oh my!
So I told her that I'd send her the original picture, and a copy in which I added in the kitty.
So she could choose which one to use. Never a dull moment:

I had to take some photos of the snow as I went to my gig last Saturday. First, umm, do I leave my house? I photographed the house before I went away:
Then, took some photos on the long ride out to the Hamptons. I hope I get a chance to post the photos of the great pictures I drew at the 9-year-old's party.
I'm so glad I got myself out there, so glad I don't use weather as an excuse to miss out on my life. Such interesting people. And it was in the coziest house - felt almost country out there, but classier of course.

This lovely woman made the effort to photograph the Studio Caricature I had mailed to her. The photo came out a little blurry, but I was still so happy to get it. They seem more 'alive' to me, somehow. Makes me feel like I'm really part
of their joy with the little part I can play. My client emailed me this photo and
wrote "He luved it. Thanx Alison!"

This was a fun Studio Caricature. If you heard the client's instructions, you'd understand how I really did everything she wanted....
almost overnight. Picture was ordered at the last minute. She wanted it done right away. I prefer at least one week per face for Studio work, but if the customer doesn't allow.....
