We all had Fun at this Event. I drew the Caricatures. But oh the conundrum about other people's face painting came up for me again. These photos of my Caricatures are Not my facepainting.
Difficult to draw people who have already been face painted, but I don't let that stop me. The conundrum involves taking photos. Since I'm a face painter as well as a Caricature Artist, I feel concerned when I post photos of people that were face-painted by Someone Else. If I don't like the other face painter's work, I wouldn't want people to think that that's the way I face paint. But if I do like the other face painter's work, I feel concerned that it's not right to mislead people into thinking that I did the painting. Either way ~ a conundrum.
I DID NOT DO THE FACE PAINTING IN THESE PHOTOS.
I only drew Caricatures of people who were Already face painted. By someone else.

People get all dressed up for Halloween. They really appreciate when it's Noticed. Caricature Entertainment does just that. It focuses attention on the identities they chose for Halloween.

Oh no! Or so I thought for a moment.
My New Agent contacted me about Tomorrow's job. She said that they would be providing the paper, and it would be fine if I just draw head/shoulders in black/white. That means, of course, that the Paper will be White!
I figured I should check it out. I felt like I should try a Warm Up on White Paper using Only Black Markers and Black Color Stick.
Oh. Looking at the randomly chosen reference pictures, I sure wish I could use Blue Paper this time. Or at least a pink paper or a brown color stick. But as an exercise ~ to be ready for tomorrow's event ~ I really kept it Black/White.
Success! I didn't need the extra supplies after-all. I feel confident to draw at tomorrow's Black/White event

It's time to get myself in gear. I will have to draw Fast at tomorrow's Event. Huge place with thousands of people. I can't be trying to redevelop myself. I won't have time to reinvent the wheel.
So it's back to the way I have been successfully drawing at Events already. And we'll see if my recent Cartoony studies might affect some of them.
To warm up, I redrew a few of the Caricatures that I previously drew at Events. And I even looked up The Dark Knight online ~ Not that I would ever use a different artist's character at an event ~ but I felt like I should familiarize myself with him. Because of some of the things that I had been told about tomorrow's event.
Note: as always, if I draw more than one face in a Caricature, it doesn't necessarily mean that the people know each other. I pick them at random.
