I've been wondering lately about What's a Party For? Obvious answers are things like to Honour someone that deserves your attention, or to Make Your Child the Important Person. Also, how about to Meet People and have a chance to affect them. Things like that. But I'm remembering like Why did I get excited about going to Parties when I was a very young child. It wasn't just the potato chips. I'm remembering how the word Party, getting ready for the Party, just the idea of going to the Party, was like a light-switch to Turn On Happiness.

and that's still why I work at Parties. Drawing Caricatures, interacting with my visions..... It's a Happy Place. A Happy Time. On top of all the meeting people, seeing how well the Guest of Honor is doing, feeling included in this group.... On top of all that is an umbrella of Happiness.

What to do tonight? What to do? I'm feeling pulled to check out what's going on with my IPad, and I'm also feeling pulled to simply draw some Caricatures simply. And also how about some more complicated Caricatures.

This is what I ened up with. A simple Caricature of John Krasinsky (Actor from the tv show called The Office). Twice. Based on a photo that was posted online. The 'sloppier'one, more freely drawn After drawing the first one, is obviously better.

I wish it didn't take so long to post pictures of my Caricatures. I wish I could show them all ~ as soon as I make them.

Here is a smattering ~ just a few of the Caricatures that I drew at a recent Community Event. It was such a lovely day. Perfect weather, perfect people, and me drawing Fun Pictures.

Earlier today (while I was Not drawing), I figured it out. Well..... I Felt like I had figured it out. I felt like I had finally figured out how to easily switch from the Basic Simple Caricatures that Some Guests prefer to the Exaggerated Caricatures that more artistially evolbed Guests know how to appreciate.

So I planned on drawing a bunch of them tonight. Based on old photos from my website. But I only got to One. Because the first one caused a glitch in my neat little 'answer'.

First I drew it Simply. Good. Easy. I didn't fuss about it.

Then I felt surprised that I totally bombed on the Exaggerated #Caricature. That's my Thing. Exaggeration. That's the style which defines me as a real Artist. No time for disappointment. I just tried it again.

Tried it again. The Exaggerated Caricature. Again, I felt surprised that it didn't delight me the way my Exaggerated #Party Caricatures were delighting me at this week's #Events. But in a pinch, I would have been able to use this Caricature at an #Event. Especially if I added Color.

Then I drew it even again even. That one came out good, but I felt surprised that it needed a mediumly extensive Predraw. Because it had felt so easy to draw Exaggerated Caricatures at this Week's previous Events.

I wish I had time to do more of these now. Maybe some other day ~ ~ ~
