I am developing a great Happy Party style for my Caricatures. In transition, and feeling quite Successful. Here's today's journey. I was making New Caricatures based on photos of people that I previously Caricatured. btw, the people that I put together in today's drawings don't necessarily know each other. I just chose photos at random ~ to practice Group Caricatures:

Ready to jump in. I remembered how great it felt for the pictures to just pour out for the past few days. No Predraw. But I didn't think about the size for the first face I drew. I didn't leave room for the other two that I planned to put into the picture. Aghk. I couldn't wait to finish. Pushing it. I'm just going to

Tried it again. Planning to size them 'evenly. But egads, What happened here:

Sized evenly. Decent Caricatures. But meaningless empty space on the paper:

This time, I gave in to a Predraw. Just a Litl bit of a Predraw:

I really should call it a night. But once more. One more group Caricature. It came out alright:

Tried it Again. I love it! This is the New Style I want to develop. Such a happy picture. If these people happened to be a family, they would have loved to have such a unique picture:

I have transitioned. I can develop this new style.

But how to apply today's studies to my Party Performance?

I'm figuring that I would Not use a predraw for One Or Two Faces on a page. But I Would use that slight amount of placement predraw for Three Or More Faces on a page.

and of course, it would be best if I draw in the style that is working at that moment. Gotta be in a Zone to draw well. If I'm hoping to use this style when I'm 'On', perhaps it would be a good idea to do a few warm-up pictures Before I go in to an Event.

Egads. No sooner than I develop that Nose idea, than I feel intrigued to try something else. Completely different. Has nothing to do with the last thing I had been studying.

This time I felt intrigued by some simple shape ideas. I like the clean happy fun answers of what to draw. I decided ot try it based on random photos that I found online.

My very first attempt came out great. This is what I was looking for.

Tried it again, Came out good. But this time ~ as is usually tempting for me ~ I went into to much details.

So I decided to Simplify the next face:

So easy. Could I do this at Parties and Events? Dare I? And once again, what about the 'pretty' one?

It's always something ~

Pleasant backyard Bat Mitzvah. I just wish the sun wasn't in the girls' eyes ~ because faces do look different when the guests squint. Still, a good time was had by all.

Even on my time-off, I usually have pen/paper nearby. Feels good to doodle.

I drew these Caricatures while watching the movie, A Box of Faith. Time-off, no effort, no reason to be drawing..... just doodling. I wasn't trying to get a likeness or a good picture or anything like that. Just pen moving.

Later I felt pleased to see what I had drawn. I easily recognized the characters from the movie
