I started by drawing this Caricature with Markers on Paper.
The thing about real Artwork is that it is Not controlled. It is Not like filling in the blanks. Drawn directly In Marker, there is No editing.
Hmmmm..... I brought a photo of that first Caricature into my IPad, where I can do all the editing I want.
I draw by Hand on my IPad ~ just as if I was drawing with pencil on paper, but I use a stylus on the digital screen instead.
I rearranged a few things, and Voila!
Here you can see the Finished Caricature (Client requested it to be toned down and black/white).

The whoa intense photo from the dentist that inspired me to make those big Scary Paintings that I wasn't getting satisfied with ~ The Oil Paintings and Acrylic Paintings that were never finished ~ I finally expressed what I was trying to express. It wasn't for a big Painting. It was for a C A R I C A T U R E !

btw ~ At the time that I had given the dentist the first (blue) Caricature, I had also given her one with different Colors (pink). When I handed in the Caricature of the 2nd dentist, she showed me that she also framed the pink Caricature ~ which she plans on hanging in her Other office

A while back, I drew a Caricature for a Dentist:
Now she asked for a matching caricature of another dentist in her office.
I felt thrilled with the new picture I came up with.
I photocopied my linework before Coloring it, so I would be able to tweak it afterwards.
The following picture shows my first coloring of it. The darker one. Then, I made a few changes, and I enjoyed applying the colors with more finesse in the one with the lighter blue:
It was a delightful Holiday Gift. From one dentist to another. But sometimes people want to Thank their Dentist right after s/he took away their toothache. Sometimes they want to Thank their Specialists right after some difficult procedures. Right after big jobs. So I'm still getting requests to draw Gift Caricatures of Plumbers, Babysitters, Tutors, Waitresses, Maids, Drivers and Contractors ~ as well as for Doctors and Dentists. Some people are so kind to their people these days
