Client from a Party where I drew Caricatures last weekend. She sent me the following email. Aaaah. Something good in our day:

I do not understand why. why?? Why do some people order body/hobby for the Caricatures at their Parties and Events. It's like.... when I'm drawing at "Mary's" Celebration for Her Important Event, guests have to focus on their Other activities ~ like what they do when they're elsewhere. And when I'm drawing at a friendly Community Festival, participants have to focus on the Other things they do. What? What?? WhIIIIIy??? I'd rather See what's happening Here. Now.
For example, here are a few of the Caricatures that I drew at a 50th Birthday Party where I was hired to include Body/Hobby. Spending time with each Guest to find out what other thing they do besides going to this. Jumping my visions from Pizza to Baseball and how about Dogs.... Why? Why?? Why weren't we focusing on This Celebration? Why weren't we focusing on the reason that the Party was made in the first place? Why weren't we focusing on what was happening At this Party? Why weren't we emphasizing that the Guests were Happy for the Guest of Honor?
If "Mary's Mom" hired me to Celebrate Mary's "Communion", I prefer to draw her guests Enjoying Her Communion. Feeling honored to be at Her Communion. (But of course I let people choose their Other activites if that's what I'm hired to do)
If "Mr Smith" hired me to draw at the his "Tech Company's Holiday Party", I'd like to draw his attendees At the Office (If we're there). Celebrating the Holiday with their co-workers.
And if "Joey's Father" hired me to draw at "Joey's Baseball Team's Annual Picnic", I'd like to draw the people who are At the Picnic. And perhaps maybe there might be some references to Baseball that happen Naturally as I am drawing their faces.
