Tonight ~ time off ~ What does an Artist do? Just surfing around on the Computer, Doodling, Taking it Easy. At one point, I Googled 'Cute Little Girls'. To draw one.
and I felt Surprised to see the Reality of it. To see Reality represented on the Internet. Not just pretty girls hired to be Models.
Seemed like most of the Images showed girls who felt like they had to Do something to be Cute. Sticking out their tongues, Saying 'Oh', Messing their hands through their hair.... That sort of stuff. So affectated. Their posing ~ their Not looking like they look when they're just Living ~ that is how they Really Are ~ When they know we are taking pictures of them because we think they're Exceptionally cute. Posing IS normal.

It's Time for People to Speak Up. I am tired of trying not to offend people who have Big Noses. If they can possibly Accept Themselves as they Really are ~ Instead of Hiding, Concealing, Spending their Whole Lives thinking they can't really be Beautiful if they look like they Really look ~ If they can possibly Love the Body they were given ~ they have a better chance for the Happiness and Self-Confidence which is what really makes a person look Beautiful.

Bodies again. Client for next Saturday said she wants some kind of Body on the Caricatures. Even though it does take longer to draw Face AND Body than to draw just the Face. Feels like every time someone requests Bodies, I have to practice again.
Lol ~ I'm on a Path. My first idea was to simplify the body to be a Rectangle. I Googled 'Poses', and drew my simplified versions. Fresh Marker ~ I enjoyed throwing my lines. But this wouldn't be much help during the Party. I won't be Seeing dynamic poses while each Guest just sits in front of me. So then I decided to play around with One Simple Pose. And when I wanted that simple pose to 'Run', oh ~ I didn't like what came out. So that sent me back to the web. Surprising that a Runner like me would have to look up running poses for her Artwork, but that's what I did. One of the things I decided was that the leg that goes Forward is the one that's 'on the ground'. That works, but it's probably not the Only running pose. Now that I think about it, of course we can have dynamic poses in which the Runner is pushing off his straight Back leg which is on the ground too.
It's late now, so I'm going to sleep. Hoping to continue my Drawing Journey tomorrow.
