It takes Both of Us

This is the sort of stuff I'm talking about. When people can accept themselves and have fun with it.

In this particular case ~ Party already in action ~ Guests already know that the Caricatures are going to be Funny ~ This couple popped up and made an unusual Request. They said that they wanted me to draw them as though the woman is hollering and the man is calmly tolerant of that. Of course, I told them that this is Fast drawing ~ No time to dream up scenarios, sketch them out, figure out ways to describe that ~ But I would keep their request in mind ~ There's no telling what might pop up during the Drawing Experience. One line is based on the previous line.

And look at how it turned out. We all loved the picture.

What they looked like ~ just worked perfectly along with my Sense of Humor. There's no way that I would have known where the drawing of the Faces was going to lead. Instead of knowing the end result, and forcing the picture to depict that; I draw one line at a time, and the finished picture can be Funny based on what happens While We Are Relating to Each Other. It's a relationship that comes out in the picture. A short-term relationship between the Artist and the Guest.

will probably pop out soon.

im playing with a new style ~ because it looks like the playful sort of stuff that i would want to hang on My wall. it looks like simple pictures, but i actually wouldn't have been able to do it correctly if i didn't already know how to draw 'more grown up' pictures (and i wouldn't have known how to do my current 'grown up' Caricatures if i wasn't already proficient with fully modeled Portraits). it's about understanding the vision.

im going to hone my game before i try it at paid events.

i love these happy pictures. so huh. go figure. turns out to be more fun and even a little faster to draw than my current style. that's perfect for parties
